Corporation Commissioner Newman Endorses Andrew Sherwood for Arizona State House
Cites Sherwood’s Support Of Renewable Energy and Job Creation In Endorsement
Phoenix, AZ, April 14: Arizona Corporation Commissioner (ACC) Paul Newman endorsed fellow Democrat Andrew Sherwood’s bid to win a seat in the Arizona House of Representatives for LD26 in November. “Andrew will be a breath of fresh air in the next legislature because he understands how important renewable energy and solar development is to Arizona and recognizes the thousands of new, high-paying jobs this growing industry has brought to our state,” said Newman. “Arizona should be attracting, not attacking business and Andrew Sherwood has the right perspective on this important issue. I look forward to working with in the coming years and showing everyone how collaboration on energy policy is a good thing for Arizona.”
“I am grateful and proud to have Commissioner Newman’s endorsement for the State House and I am proud to do the same,” said Sherwood. “No state has more sunlight hitting it on a daily basis than Arizona and this competitive advantage is something we should exploit, not undermine. When the voters of LD26 send me to the House, I’ll work with Commissioner Newman and other forward-thinking members of the ACC to continue to push for the development of this industry in our state.” “I look forward to campaigning with Commissioner Newman in the coming months to share with voters how we can bring more jobs to Arizona and keep utility rates low for all utility customers.”
Both Newman and Sherwood are running as Clean Elections candidates.
